Foreigners residing in Nigeria have been urged to join their hosts in praying for a  successful conduct of the 2011 general election.

Pastor Daniel Kalombo, a Senior Pastor  at the French Parish of Redeemed Christian  Church of God, La Mission de Jesus, Onikan, Lagos State, Nigeria, made the call at  the church’s 16th year anniversary  on Sunday.

Kalombo urged them not to flee Nigeria because of the general elections and assured  them that the elections would be free and fair one.

“They should stay in Nigeria and pray with their hosts to make the election a  successful one, they should not entertain any fear. The election is going to be a  free and fair one,” Kalombo said

He, however, said  the church is faced with the challenge of how to bring into its  fold more French speaking citizens residing in Lagos and Nigeria.

The church, he said, would continue to bring in French nationals into it’s folds  until they all become Christ’s embassador in Nigeria and take such back to their  respective countries.

The parish ‘La Maison De Jesus’ which means ‘The House of Jesus’, is one of three  French speaking parishes of Redeemed Christian Church of God, (RCCG), in Nigeria.  The other two are in Port Harcourt and Abuja.
