Stolen Generator Lands Two In Trouble

The police in Owutu Division Ikorodu, Lagos State, south west Nigeria, have arrested  the duo of Wale Ganiyu 20-year old an indigene of Kwara State and Jamiu Tajudeen 37,  from Iperu, Ogun State,  for conspiracy and stealing.

Both suspects gave the same 14, Adewale Aderibigbe Street, address in Ikorodu. Wale  Ganiyu was said to have stolen a generator set and a motor radiator. The suspect was  said to have sold the generator to Jamiu Tajudeen at the cost of N10,000 but he was  arrested while  trying to sell the radiator.

Speaking with P.M.NEWS, Wale Ganiyu said he had stolen the generator a long time ago  and decided to sell it when he needed some money. He also said that the buyer, Jamiu  Tajudeen gave him one cell phone and N2,000 cash for the generator.

Responding, Jamiu Tajudeen claimed that he did not know that the generator was  stolen as Wale Ganiyu promised to bring the receipt to him at a later date before  his arrest.

“He did not tell me that he stole the generator. He said he will bring the receipt  to me later; that was why I bought it, I gave him one Nokia handset and the sum of  N2,000 cash.

When P.M.NEWS visited the station, the Divisional Police Officer, DPO, in charge of  Owutu, Mr. Monday Okpan, a Chief Superintendent of Police, CSP, he was said to have  gone to the state Polioce headquarters.
