The much-awaited draws ceremony for Mamora Cup will hold this evening at the Gbagada Roundabout Indoor Sports Hall, Lagos State, Nigeria.
58 clubs within the Lagos East Senatorial District are expected to take part in the tourney, which kicks off this Saturday at the Gbagada Roundabout playground.
The tourney is sponsored by Senator Olorunibe Mamora, who is representing Lagos East Senatorial District in the Senate, Abuja.
Tough the tourney will be played in three centres; Ikorodu, Epe and Gbagada, 18 and 16 teams have confirmed their readiness for the championship in Ikorodu and Epe centres respectively.
Tournament coordinator, Kemac Emina, explained that the championship will be played simultaneously at the three centres, saying that four teams from Gbagada and two teams each from the other centres will qualify for the quarter final.
“Gbagada centre has the largest number of entries in Mamora Cup, so we have decided that four teams will qualify in Gabgada.
“We are using the three centres because Senator Mamora wants the competition to hold within his Senatorial District,†he said
