Former Nigerian international, Adokie Amaesimaka says Nigeria Football Federation,  NFF, is in a difficult situation as the Technical Committee of the federation  interviews Samson Siasia and Stephen Keshi for the vacant post of the Super Eagles’  Coach today.

Adokie said the selection process to choose between Siasia and Keshi, is a litmus  test for the NFF.

According to the former boss of Sharks of Port Harcourt, “the two candidates are  good, but the problem is to decide who is better. Siasia has done his best for the  country as a player and coach of the Olympics team, while Keshi has enough  experience and maturity to take up the job. I think choosing the best between Siasia  and Keshi is a big test for the NFF. It is my hope that the committee will do a  thorough job at the end of the day to give Nigeria the best coach for the Eagles.”

A member of the technical committee, FIFA and CAF instructor, Chief Adegboye  Onigbinde, however, said that the selection process will not be tough but will be an  exciting process for him and his colleagues in the committee.

Meanwhile, the NFF has said the Glass House would record  today’s interview  sessions.

Chairman of the federation’s Technical Committee, Chris Green, explained that the  measure  is for reference purposes and part of the NFF’s pledge to be transparent in  the whole process.

“Yes, we will record the proceedings for purpose of transparency. But the recording  will not be for public consumption. The process of recording is meant to ensure that  if there is a dispute over the interview exercise, then the recording will serve as  a reference point. But this is a different kind of process of interviewing coaches  for the national team and the first of its kind in the country,” he said.

Green also said that all of the members of the technical committee will be present  contrary to reports that only a handful of the committee will sit for the interview.
