The three-tiers of government in the country have been urged to assist artisans and tradesmen to bring out the best in them in their professions.

The President of Lagos State Association of Plumbing Contractors, Mr. Oluwafemi Awotoye, said this while speaking with journalists on the activities of his association recently.

He said artisans should be encouraged through loans and jobs rather than invite foreigners to do what Nigerians were capable of doing. According to him, the country has competent artisans who can excel if given the chance.
