A former chairmanship aspirant in Ikorodu West Local Council Development Area, LCDA, of Lagos State, Hon. Bayo Lawal Lawson, under the Action Congress of Nigeria says Ikorodu Division deserves more attention.
The aspirant, who said he contested for the position of chairman of the council area in 2006, said he wished to make a difference, adding that he has done a lot of homework to actualize the dream. He disclosed that he hopes to contest for the seat again in the 2011 election.
Hon. Lawson, who is also the chairman of Seriki Community Development Association, said he had been involved in the development of the community, especially drainages, roads and security, which he had financed from his money and which he hopes to continue doing. He added that the problem of Ikorodu is population explosion.
Lawson stated that though the kind of development in Ikeja and Somolu cannot be found in Ikorodu, but effective representation can change all that. He said his major interests are education and roads, while he also have plans to change the face of the health care system and ensure proper drainages and with the level of his relationship with the CDA chairman in the area, the job would be a lot easier for him.
