Some aggrieved members of Action Congress of Nigeria, Ward ‘G’ Kosofe Local  Government Area, Lagos, Nigeria, have called on the state executive of the party to  intervene in the crisis rocking the party at the ward level.

Mr. Olayiwola Samuel and Ismail Gbademoshi who led other aggrieved members accused  the leadership of the party at ward level of lack of transparency, high handedness  and not carrying  members along in the party’s activities. This they said deprived  them of being abreast of activities  at the state level of the party.

They appealed to the state executive of the party to dissolve the ward executive and  reconstitute a new one, but requested for interim executive committee pending the  time a new executive would be constituted.

“We want the state executive to intervene in the crisis. For the past four months,  there has been nothing  like ward meetings and for about two years the leadership of  the party has refused to give account of their stewardship.

“We the members do not know how the party is being run and we want the executive  that has been there for more than eight years dissolved and let another team take  over the mantle of leadership,” the aggrieved members said.

When P.M.NEWS contacted the ward chairman, Mr. Olatunde a.k.a Oyinbo on phone, he  said the state executive has demanded for the report of activities but that he could  not say much on the matter.
