Island Club Election: Aspirant Wants Others Charged With Contempt Of CourtWants

The crisis rocking Island Club has taken a new dimension as one of the members,  Prince Jide Sikuade, wants Form 48, a notice of consequences of disobedience of  court order, to be issued by a Federal High Court in Lagos against the trustee of  the club, Chief Adeniyi Williams, Olumuyiwa Aduroja, Lawrence Erhabor and Prince  Ademola Dada.

He claimed that unless they obey the order of the court that by virtue of rule 6 of  the Constitution of the club, Prince Ademola Dada, who was suspended as member on 9  February, 2007 is not qualified to contest election into the office of the chairman  of the club.

He also sought an injunction restraining the defendants and their agents from  allowing Ademola Dada to contest election into the office of the chairman of the  club scheduled for 20  May, 2010 or any subsequent date to which it may be  postponed; they will be guilty of contempt of court.

The notice of consequences of the disobedience of court order was issued as the club  is contemplating to expunge Rule 16 from the Constitution of the club to conduct the  said election
