The crisis rocking Island Club has taken a new dimension as one of the members, Prince Jide Sikuade, wants Form 48, a notice of consequences of disobedience of court order, to be issued by a Federal High Court in Lagos against the trustee of the club, Chief Adeniyi Williams, Olumuyiwa Aduroja, Lawrence Erhabor and Prince Ademola Dada.
He claimed that unless they obey the order of the court that by virtue of rule 6 of the Constitution of the club, Prince Ademola Dada, who was suspended as member on 9 February, 2007 is not qualified to contest election into the office of the chairman of the club.
He also sought an injunction restraining the defendants and their agents from allowing Ademola Dada to contest election into the office of the chairman of the club scheduled for 20 May, 2010 or any subsequent date to which it may be postponed; they will be guilty of contempt of court.
The notice of consequences of the disobedience of court order was issued as the club is contemplating to expunge Rule 16 from the Constitution of the club to conduct the said election
