The battle line was drawn last night inside  Omo Forest Reserve in Area J4, Ijebu East Local Government Area of Ogun state, the location for this year’s show.

The search for the ultimate hero who will walk home with the mouth watering winning prize of N17.5 million in cash and material was narrowed to three contestants last night. They are Adeleke Oshimade, 22-year old self acclaimed king of the jungle from Ogun State; 23 year old Edo State born Atiku Kadiri Mohammed and Oluwaremi  Kunle, the 23-year old, Ekiti State indigene.

Barring any surprise, the fourth contestant,  21-year old Chukwuma Anyanwu, still in the jungle with the aforementioned contestants, will be leaving the contest tonight as the outcome of yesterday’s challenge was not in his favour. He came last in the day’s task. The challenge that kept Chukwuma’s fate hanging in the balance,  was a tough task that required balance.

The show host, Bob-Manuel Udokwu, told the last four contestants the grim nature of the task in which whoever comes last in the challenge will face the consequence-eviction.

And after standing on a beam for more than 40minutes, and walking through the beam to another point with two heavy sand bags on their shoulders, they all survived the first challenge.

But to their surprise, they received another clue as they were relaxing after their “horrible” launch prepared by Atiku. The second challenge had them running a long distance race in the wild jungle with another sandbag.

At the end of the task, Chukwuma, the undergraduate of University of Hertfordshire, London, United Kingdom, came last, but his fate was not decided yesterday.

However, knowing the implication of his performance, Chukwuma has started preparing his exit from the jungle.

P.M.News gathered that the three ultimate warriors still standing in the adventurous fortune seeking game are now battle ready for the final onslaught.

Twenty-two-year old Caroline Ukachi  Mbanu was the last girl standing in the show and won for herself a bonus of N1million cash prize in addition to her winning as the number five searcher in the jungle. She was evicted a couple of days ago.

The Ultimate hero of this year’s contest will be rewarded with prizes worth over N17.5 million – a cash prize of N7 million, an SUV worth N10 million and N500, 000 as wardrobe allowance.

Other participants will earn amounts ranging from N350,000 to N2.5million, as consolation, depending on the length of participation in the contest.

The journey for the search for the Ultimate Hero in the season 7 of the extremely popular reality show started on 10 August, 2010 when Gulder flagged off the search at a press conference in Lagos. On that occasion, it was announced that this year’s edition was going to be different in terms of plot, setting, participation and rewards. Twelve contestants were selected from thousands that were screened.
