HiTV’s Hi Nolly Yoruba has secured an exclusive right to air Saidi Balogun’s latest wave making movie entitled Eti Keta (Third Party), after it has made its cinema and DVD runs.
Hi Nolly Yoruba channel manager, Kunle Abiola-Ige, in a statement signed by Public Relations Manager, Justin Akpovi-Esade, said HiTV is proud to partner Balogun in the new movie scheduled for world premiere on Sunday, 24 October in Lagos.
Nollyword actress, Kate Henshaw Nuttal, made her first Yoruba movie debut in this film, playing the role of Saheed Balogun’s fiancee.
“Hi Nolly Yoruba is one channel that has sworn to sweep all Yoruba and non Yoruba-speaking viewers off their feet and we will stop at nothing to do that. When we launched, we promised everybody that soon, nobody will be watching any other local channel in the country any more. We have kept to that promise and will do everything to make sure that that status remains. It is in line of this that we have struck a partnership with one of the best movie producers in the Yoruba film sector, Saidi Balogun, in his new film project entitled Eti Keta,†said Abiola-Ige.
Hi Nolly Yoruba was introduced by HiTV on 1 October in a bid to continually re-invent itself and better embrace the needs of its rapidly growing subscriber base.
The 24-hour Yoruba movie channel with English subtitles, portrays Nigeria’s Yoruba depth of culture, norms and values. It is a great addition to the list of other intriguing channels already on the HiTV.
