Residents of Ilupeju, Agbara in Ado Odo-Ota Local Government Area of Ogun State, have appealed to the Chairman, Nurudeen Abayomi Tella, to construct Ilupeju road, which they say is in a deplorable state, with drainage channels on both sides.
The traditional ruler of the community, High Chief Adamson Ayinla Hassan Oluyori, made the appeal on behalf of his subjects in a chat with LG Circuit recently.
According to him, the only major problem confronting the entire community was flooding, electrification and access road to link the Lagos-Badagry Expressway, adding that people find it difficult to pass the road whenever it rains.
He also revealed that most of the amenities being enjoyed now by the people were through self help efforts of the community development associations, while other projects were beyond their means.
Oluyori added that since the inception, none of the roads within his community had been tarred, not to talk of drainage system and wants the council boss, who, he said, has contributed more to the development of the area, to address the situation by giving the area a face-lift.
