The pan-Yoruba socio-cultural group, Afenifere and Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, will tomorrow hold a rally in Lagos.
Coordinator of the group, Hon. Olumuyiwa Thomas Fadeyi, disclosed that the rally, scheduled for Adeniyi Street, behind Itire Police Station, Lagos, ”is to re-integrate the group back into the mainstream of Lagos politics.”
He said for sometime now, there has been a lure in the activities of the group, owing to many factors that cannot be explained on the pages of newspapers, but that most of the problems have been addressed and that the group is once again set to reclaim its leadership position in the politics of the entire Southwest and to promote the interest of the Yoruba nation.
Hon. Fadeyi, a one time councillor in Mushin Local Government Area and a former member of the state House of Assembly, said of late, a lot have gone wrong in the politics of the Yoruba nation, with pretenders coming up to assume leadership positions.
“The group has decided to launch back into the mainsteam of the entire Southwest politics, with the aim of correcting all these anomalities,” Fadeyi said.
