Lagos Lawmaker Hails Ekiti Verdict

A member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Olawale Alawiye-King, has  commended the Court of Appeal for declaring the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN)  candidate in the 2007 governorship election in Ekiti State, Dr. Kayode Fayemi,  winner of the election.

Reacting to the judgment which nullified the election of Segun Oni, the lawmaker  representing Lagos Island Constituency 1 and Chairman, House Committee on Education,  said Fayemi’s victory has shown that no matter how long lies may last, the truth  will always prevail and would also correct the wrongs the people suffered during the  election and last year’s rerun.

He congratulated Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Babatunde Fashola, Engr. Rauf  Aregbesola and all ACN members across the country as well as the entire Ekiti  people, saying, “with the victory, the peole of Ekiti will now heave a sigh of  relief and have a new lease of life.”
