A lawyer, George Eneji, who worked with Edem Egba Eneji, a law chambers along Barracks Road in Calabar, Cross River State, South South, Nigeria, has been found dead in his hotel room.
Eneji reportedly lodged in Nke Hotel at 4, Okon Edu Street, off Jetts Street, Calabar with his girlfriend for a sex romp when the tragedy occurred.
According to a staff of the hotel, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, the lawyer, a regular customer of the hotel, paid for a short time. After sometime, the lady got out of the room and left, while the man remained inside.
“We did not suspect that anything had happened. We thought they had finished what they came for. Therefore, we did not stop the girl when she was leaving,†said our source .
“When the lawyer exceeded the time he paid for, we gave him extra time because he was a regular customer, thinking he was trying to clean up. After a long period, we decided to check on him.
We knocked the door, but there was no response. We decided to give him another 10 minutes. When we went back again and there was no response, we forced the door open, only  to see his lifeless naked body in the room.
When his wife, Lindy George, was contacted, she said the late lawyer had a kid from another woman but she had none for him.
At the late George’s office this morning, none of the staff was willing to discuss the matter with our correspondent. They all claimed that only his employer, Senator Edoma Egba, who is presently in Abuja, can comment on the issue.
