The Jonathan Sambo Campaign Organisation has called for the trial of an associate of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, Alhaji Lawal Kaita, for treason over his recent statement that the North will make the country ungovernable for President Goodluck Jonathan if he is able to get the presidential ticket of Peoples Democratic Party and was victorious in the 2011 elections.
The second republic politician also said the North will also not accept the emergence of any candidate from any other part of the country in a recent interview.
But in a press release signed by Sully Abu yesterday, the Jonathan Campaign Organisation said the comments by Kaita is treasonable.
The campaign group therefore called on the security agencies to take appropriate action.
“The point must be made that those promising to make the country ungovernable for President Jonathan, as Alhaji Lawal Kaita openly boasted recently, must also be ready to keep a date with the law.
“We are after all a country governed by laws, and the laws of treason are very clear in this regard.
“We were all witnesses to the high wire political mischief played in years gone by, all aimed at achieving effortless regime change.
We remember how fifth columnists executed searches on the homes of the late Chief Obafemi Awolowo and others, to achieve predetermined ends.
“We also recall how, in that epoch, the issue of 53 suitcases was contrived to ease a putsch against Gen. Muhammadu Buhari. Clearly we are on the march again, and the same characters of yesteryears are the game players once again.
“But this time, Nigerians can not be fooled. Our people remain eternally vigilant, and we call on the security agencies not to hesitate to charge anyone found culpable with the relevant laws of the land.”

The truth is bitter, but it must be told. If Jonathan does the right things at the right time (making life comfortable for nigerians against all odds), NOBODY can make nigeria ungovernable for him. Goodluck face your work and stop witch hunting. You are not a hunter for crying out loud. Those sycophants will derail you and laugh at you later. Be wise.
The problem with these foreign nationals who where smuggled into the country from Niger Republic is that, they think they are greater than Nigeria. They dont even see themselves as Nigerians. so they can open their kola nut mouths any how they like. The era of fulani domination is over and done with since the death of abiola-let them move eastward if they like. That is their own business. Kaita should be nabbed and chgarged to court.
It is becoming clearer that IBB can never succeed; that Atiku is a no-starter and that Omo Oloye (Saraki) is an also-ran. So what do you expect from old people like Kaita? Frustration! Ciroma, Kaita and the rest are expected to be more pained which would make them to release more caustic but empty threats (though these should not be taken lightly). SSS should just keep them under close watch. They should strategically refuse to touch them. Thats the only cure for frustrated old men!
The comments of a man called Kaita should be been taken seriously. As Nigerians are praying for a better Nigeria, it is quite unfortunate that somebody like this is still found in the nation. I wonder how somebody like Atiku can keep working with this man. The law of the land must take its cause on this man and all his likes.
Kaita should be jailed for treason. If Awolowo who is a hero can go to jail for treason felony i see no reason for this useless Kaita that has no record in this country insulting the government of the day and face treason charges.he should know that the bible says we should obey and respect constituted authority of which Jonathan/Sambo is.
