All Set For Broadcasters’ Nite Out And Awards

All is now set for the maiden edition of the Broadcasters’ Nite Out and Awards. Scheduled for 31 October, 2010, the event will hold at Tribeca, Adetokunbo Ademola, Victoria Island, Lagos.

According to a statement made available to Showbiz Trends, the yearly event was to celebrate and appreciate Broadcasters. It would have who is who in the Nigerian electronic media in attendance.

Kazeem Popoola, event coordinator stated that apart from being a rallying point where the veterans, famous presenters and Deejays can relate in an atmosphere of fun, unity and togetherness, the night will also serve as an avenue to honour and recognises those who have done well and contributed immensely to the growth of electronic media in Nigeria.

“It has been observed that the Nigerian entertainment industry has shown less concern in appreciating and celebrating Broadcasters, On-air Personalities(Radio and TV presenters) and Deejays despite the fact that they are the ‘star makers’ and the only road to stardom for both movie and music stars,” Popoola said.

Aside honourary awards to few select broadcasters and some veterans who will be inducted into the‘Hall of Fame’; there would be award presentation in the following categories: Presenter of the Year Radio/ TV; Most Popular Programme of the year TV/ Radio; TV/Radio station of the Year; In-House DJ of the year; Fastest Rising Presenter TV/Radio (Male and Female); Sport Presenter of the year; Business And Life Programme presenter of the Year; Most supportive Corporate company For the year; Commercial Advert of the year; Presenter of Indigenous programme of the Year among others.
