Chairman of Bariga Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, South West Nigeria, Akeem Omoyele Sulaimon, has called on the police to make public development on investigations into last Friday’s bomb blasts that rocked Abuja during Nigeria’s 50th Independence anniversary.
Condemning the incident which he described as a dastardly act, Oris, as the chairman is fondly called, enjoined the police not to stop at only declaring suspects wanted in respect of the blast but should keep Nigerian abreast of situations as they progress in the investigations.
The council boss believes that the police need not operate in secrecy in respect of the incident, adding that Nigerians are interested in knowing those who sponsored and carried out the act.
