The Chairman of Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, Lagos State, Chief Henry Ajomale says winning the 2010 presidential elections and more states in the gubernatorial polls will be the perfect birthday gift for him.
Ajomale was speaking yesterday at the state secretariat of the ACN where a birthday party was organised for him by ACN chieftains in the diaspora. Party members that graced the occasion heaped praises on Ajomale whom they said has been an exceptional leader since he became the chairman of the party.
The celebrant thanked God for the celebration of life and said he was grateful to the ACNÂ chieftains in the diaspora for organising the birthday party.
“ACN deserves to show the people that they want to serve but first we must elections,†he said.
He said that greater years lie ahead of him and the party. “I appreciate your gesture towards me. It shows that you all genuinely like me and the party. We hope that the years ahead of us will bring better tidings for all Nigerians,†he stated.
Chairman, Diaspora Chapter, Hon. Johnson Ojo (USA), Secretary General, Hon. Olayinka Adekunle (South Africa) and Publicity Secretary, Hon. Sesan Daini (South Africa) and others who graced the occasion cheered the chairman as he took photographs with well-wishers. He was presented with a cake and a large birthday card.
Hon. Felix Adewale Ajayi, (UK), said the celebrant was a man to emulate. He told P.M.NEWS that Ajomale has impacted the lives of young and intending politicians with his leadership attributes. “He is a man that should be respected and revered in Nigerian politics. He is an emblem of true democracy,” Ajayi said.
