Two suspects, Akin Oladipupo, 25, and Abiodun Hassan, 29 have been arraigned before the  Ikeja magistrate’s court sitting at Isheri-Oke Lagos on a three-count charge of felony  and stealing.

The police prosecutor alleged that on 15 September 2010 at 5:30 am at Akiode Ojodu-Berger  area of Lagos they snatched a handbag valued at N3000, a wrapper valued at N1,800,  N120,000 cash and a Nokia handset valued N4000 all property valued at N128,800 belonging  to a lady, Eleojo Adams.

They were also alleged to have dispossessed another lady, Patience Friday of her handbag,  one Nokia handset, one novel all total valued at N16,500.

The offences the police said are punishable under Sections 516 and 390 of the Criminal  Code Cap 17, vol. II Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2003.

They both pleaded not guilty to the charges.

The trial magistrate, M. I. Dan-Oni admitted each of them to bail in the sum of N200,000  with two sureties each in the like sum.
