Thirty-Eight clubs across Lagos State have registered for Oluomo Europe Championship which began on Tuesday at the Nigeria Railway Institute football pitch, Yaba.
In a fixtures made available to P.M.Sports, Group A comprises Olu-Omo FC, Oshodi, Splendid FC, Badagry, Estate Lion FC, Ebute-Metta and Progressive United FC, Surulere. Group B consists of Luk-Bak FC, Ebute Metta, Starlet FC, Badagry, City Stricker, Lagos Island and Stanley FC( 2), Bariga.
Group C is made up of Int. Rovers FC, Oregun, Conerstone FC, Ebute Metta, Iroko Babes FCÂ of Surulere, Top-Net FC, Ebute Metta and Ejithan Young Stars FC, Badagry.
Joint FC, Badagry, Panti FC, Ebute Metta, Jokers Stars FC, Lagos Island, Lucky FC, Badagry and Rock Int FC of Orile are in Group D.
Group E comprises Stanley Global FC, Isolo, Abayo Boys FC, Orile, Gladiator FC, Lagos Island, CATS FC, Surulere and Young Stars FC, Mushin. Group F consists of Baovistal FC, Ebute Metta, Asaf FC, Lagos Island, Surulere Grassroots FC, Golden Stricker FC and Haske FC, Oshodi.
Kelly FC Isheri, Ragent FC, Egbeda, Lafiaji FC, Lagos Island, Alfa FC, Ilasa and Orile All Stars are in Group G, while Group H consists of Magate FC, Oshodi, United Strickers FC, Mushin, Flaming Mauri FC, Lagos Island and Young Stars FC of Ojo
In the opening match played on Tuesday, Inter Rover humbled Cornerstone 4-1, while Iroko Babes played 0-0 with Top-Net FC.
Actions continue today as Olu-Omo FC battle Splendid FC, Joint FC will face Panti FC, while Jokers will tackle Lucky FC in the last match of the day
The Chairman Organising Committee, Lookman Bakare, said the competition is organised to celebrate 17th anniversary of Lucky Babes and the 50th independence of Nigeria.
Bakare said this year’s edition will be glamorous, adding that all the participating clubs will be given consolatory prizes.
He urged the players to remain good ambassadors of their clubs, saying that any player that violates the rules and regulation of the game will be sanctioned.
