Youths Organise Debate For Aspirants

Youths in Isolo and Ejigbo area of Lagos State have organised a debate for the aspirants to the State House of Assembly and  House of Representatives.

The coordinator of the programme, Muyiwa Asabi said it was organised with his colleagues to let the aspirants learn one or two things from one another.

One of the aspirants to the House of Assembly, Chief Mrs. Funmi Olusumade, an enterprenuer, said she has done a lot of help to youths especially students, according to her, “I know the problems with the youths, we need to create jobs for the younger ones, to empower the women. When we train the women, we’re training the nation. We’re encouraging our people to get enlightenment because, if you train a woman, you’re training the nation, the woman you train is going to train the children and the children will get to the locality.”

Mrs. Mojisola Munira Maciver, an aspirant to the House of Representatives said it was a laudable programme organised for the aspirants in the local government.

She said she has been able to impact a lot into the community as a social net worker, a humanitarian and a bridge builder.

A lawyer, Victor Adeleke said he was happy to showcase what he has for the people.  He said “I know where the shoe pintches to prepare for a greater tomorrow for the people.

Olayemi Odugbe, a House of Assembly aspirant in Isolo Constituency II said, “there’re some qualities required of every leader which I also possess. These include integrity, loyalty and clamouring for a change, all these qualities I believe I have”,  Odugbe said.
