Chief Wale Oduyoye, the Chairman, Medical Assistance Foundation, a Non Government Organisation (NGO), has commended Niyi Fabikun, a member of Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN for his support the success of the free medical screening exercise held last Saturday at the Civic Centre,Oke Afa Jakande Estate, Isolo.
The one-day screening exercise was organised by Medical Assistance Foundation and sponsored by Niyi Fabikun, an ACN aspirant for Federal House of Representatives in Oshodi/Isolo Federal Constituency II.
Speaking at the occasion, Oduyoye said he was very grateful to Fabikun who invited  medical personnel to carry out free HIV /AIDS screening test and blood pressure check up during the exercise.
“Fabikun has really helped us to actualise the programme which will be of benefit to the grassroots people. The turn out was quite impressive and I want to encourage governments and corporate bodies to support our NGO in order to serve our people better,†he said.
In his welcome address, Fabikun said he sponsored the programme not because of his political ambition but to enlighten the people and awaken their consciousness to prevent the spread of HIV/AIDS.
