Motorists and commuters on Lagos Island routes, have appealed to the Lagos State Commissioner of Police to provide vehicles for the Area ‘A’ Lion Building Traffic Police at the P&T roundabout, Obalende, Falomo Bridge, the Nigerian Law School junction up to the Ajah axis.
They also praised the police at Adeniji Adele Police Division for their hard work in crime prevention.
Some of the motorists and commuters who spoke with P.M.NEWS said though the two police units do not have enough logistics, they are doing a wonderful job to ensure free flow of traffic and save lives in their respective units and therefore appealed to Mr. Akpoyibo and others that have the interest of the Nigeria Police at heart to provide logistics for Area ‘A’ traffic officers and the patrol unit at Adeniji Adele Police Divisions to perform their duties.
According to Mrs. Abimbola Ajao, who works at Lekki area of Lagos, “I see them on commercial motorcycles at P&T roundabout, Obalende, Falomo roundabout, Law School junction and Ajah axis almost at the same time everyday. I am now appealing to Mr. Marvel Akpoyibo to provide logistics for the traffic officers,” she said.
Mr. Segun Ogundare, a resident of Adeniji Adele, “I commend the police at Adeniji Adele Division for their hard work in crime prevention. Though they only have very few vehicles, they always station themselves under the Adeniji Adele bridge on the Third Mainland Bridge and at Ogogoro Market on the outer Third Mainland Bridge from 7 p.m till 5 a.m. What can danfo bus do in case of emergency?
