Two suspects, Ibrahim Lateef and Ramon Sikiru, 28 have been charged with robbery at an Ogudu Magistrate’s Court in Lagos State, Nigeria.

According to the police, the defendants conspired with others now at large and attempted to rob Ernest Udeaba, Obina Eze and Chinedu Ikeogu of their money when they locked them up in a moving commercial faragon bus marked XS532ABC and caused them bodily injuries.

Police prosecutor said they committed the alleged offence on 1 September, 2010 at Ojota, Lagos. The offence is contrary to and punishable under Section 403(1) of the Criminal Code Cap 17, vol. 2, Laws of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2004.

They pleaded not guilty.

Presiding magistrate, Mrs. Y.O. Aje Afunwa admitted them to bail on N20,000 each with two sureties each. The matter was adjourned till 18 October, 2010 for mention.
