Though, the Secretary to the State Government, Princess Adenrele Adeniran-Ogunsanya,  refused to declare the amount budgeted for the event that begins from today 23 September,  2010 and ends on 2 October, 2010, a statement credited to a member of the House of  Assembly, Hon Ajibayo Adeyeye, has it that N300 million will be spent by the state  government on the anniversary.

Part of the activities lined up for the celebration, which begins with Christian and  Moslem inter-denominational services, include the handing over of the Old Peoples Home  located in Yaba within the state.
