Residents of Shogunle in Oshodi-Isolo Local Government Area of Lagos State, South West Nigeria, have appealed to the state governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, to extend the dividends of democracy to them through the council’s administration led by Afeez Ipesa Balogun, by rehabilitating Majekodunmi, Kadiri Alimi/Market Lane and Anike streets.
Speaking with Lagos Bulletin, the traditional ruler, High Chief Rafiu Babalola Ajisegiri, stated that the entire community is particular about the rehabilitation of the streets which also serve as link to other communities in the area.
According to him, if the streets were tarred, they will serve as access to other areas and communities within the council area.
While commending Governor Fashola for his leadership qualities which he said are worthy of emulation and for impacting positively on the lives of the people of Lagos through his laudable projects across the state, Ajisegiri reminded the governor of the car gift promise to all traditional rulers in the state so that life, according to him, will be more meaningful to them.
He also praised the council boss for transforming and taking Oshodi-Isolo to greater heights, while giving kudos to the monarch of Ewuland, Oba Sakirudeen Erufa 1, for his commitment towards the plight of traditional rulers and development of his community.
