Motorists and commuters who make use of the Apongbon bridge on a daily basis have commended Governor Fashola for listening to their plight and rehabilitating the dangerous spot on the bridge.
They had earlier complained of the experience they go through on the bridge, which has caused them a lot of psychological trauma and damaged their vehicles. Several accidents have been recorded as a result of the undulating surface of the bridge.
Some of the motorists and commuters who spoke with P.M.NEWS described Governor Fashola as a listening governor worth emulating for his leadership quality and his readiness to serve.
According to Mr. Jude Okwudili, a resident of Surulere who works on Lagos Island, “for now, there is no comparison to Governor Fashola’s style of governance in Lagos State.
“We can only continue to pray to God to continue to guide and protect him to enable him serve humanity. I lost my Subaru car at Apongbon bridge as a result of an accident caused by the undulating surface of the bridge. My vehicle was thrown up several times and it eventually crashed on the side of the bridge during which the chassis was damaged.
“Now, the bridge is not only smooth, the usual heavy traffic has disappeared,” he added.
