All card-carrying members of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, have been urged to ensure the return of incumbent governor, Barrister Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN) at party’s governorship primaries coming up soon.
A traditional ruler, Oba Samuel Alamu Oloyede, Onikosi of Ikosi/Kosofeland in Lagos State, Nigeria, made the call when a cross-section of Ikosi-Isheri Local Government chapter of Raji Fashola Fans Club paid him a courtesy visit at the weekend. He reminded them of the antecedents and pedigree of Fashola which he described as the best in the history of Lagos State.
According to a release signed by Mr. Babatunde Folawiyo Lisboa, Special Adviser to the Oba on Media Affairs, “Fashola deserves more than second term in office, if the constitution permits that, and going by his performance in office.â€
Meanwhile, the Ikosi/Isheri chapter of Raji Fashola Fans Club will be inaugurated on Thursday, 23 September, 2010 at Agiliti Mile 12 bus stop.
At the launching ceremony, exercise books for public primary schools within the area will be distributed free.
