Commuters on the Lekki/Ajah route have called on the governor of Lagos State, Mr.  Babatunde Raji Fashola and the chairman of Eti-Osa East Local Government Development  Area, Hon. Owolabi Yisa to urgently construct more public toilets to cater for commuters  and motorists working or doing business in the area.

They added that the only toilet at the bus stop is not enough because of the influx of  people into Ajah axis in recent times. Some of the motorists and commuters who spoke with  P.M.NEWS on the urgent need for more public toilets on the Lekki-Ajah highway said  anybody could be pressed while on the road, especially because of the usual traffic  gridlock on the Lekki-Ajah axis as a result of the ongoing reconstruction of the highway.  They appealed to Lagos State to build public toilets at major bus stops along the highway  to prevent people from defecating just anywhere along the road as currently being done.

According to a provision seller at Ajah bus stop, Mrs. Yetunde Omotosho, “toilets are one  of the most important things. One could leave home without problems and midway into the  journey, the body could change and one may need to use the toilet, and in a situation  where there is none, what next?
