The Founder and President of O’odua Peoples Congress, OPC, Dr. Federick Fasehun, has been described as a true patriot, a leader and a greater defender of the Yoruba race in particular and Nigeria in general.
The assertion was made at a priess briefing held at the Century Hotel, Okota, Lagos, Nigeria to herald the 75th birthday celebration of Dr. Faseun tomorrow.
Vice President of the OPC, Otunba Kazeem Badmus, who addressed journalists stated that the OPC founder is a worthy leader who has contributed meaningfully to the success and prosperity of Nigeria, adding that he has paid his dues.
“We are particularly grateful for his efforts in founding the OPC, which took off in 1994 with only four founding members, but today has grown into a formidable organisation of over four million registered members in Nigeria and overseas.
“On behalf of myself and the entire O’odua family, we want to wish Dr. Fasehun a hearty happy birthday and with him more years of fruitful service to the nation.
Otunba Badmus also appealed to all Yoruba and their leaders to embrace the OPC and also take the issue of Yoruba union seriously and learn to speak with one voice.
