Community Donates Patrol Vehicle To Police

The Joint Agbede Community Development Association, CDA, have donated a patrol vehicle to  the Owutu Police Station in Ikorodu Lagos, southwest, Nigeria.

While commissioning the vehicle, the Area ‘H’ Commander, G.C. Nwobodo, an Assistant  Commissioner of Police, ACP, thanked the Agbede Community for the kind gesture and urged  other communities to emulate them.

Also speaking during the occasion, Mrs. C.O. Odifale who represented the Commissioner for  Rural Development while thanking the Agbede Joint CDA praised the police for their  steadfastness in combating crime in the area.

The Divisional Police Officer in charge of Owutu Police Station, DPO, Mr. Monday Okpan, a  Chief Superintendent of Police, CSP, used the opportunity to lecture the audience on  security matters and promised that the division will make good use of the patrol vehicle.

Meanwhile, the Oke-Oriya Community Development Association and Igbo-Olomu Community  Development Association have sent letters of commendation and appreciation to the Divisional  Police Officer of Owutu Police Stationc commending him for crime fighting.

Present at the occasion were the Baale of Owutu Community, Chief Aluko, representatives of  Okada Union, NURTW and other artisan bodies.
