Bad Roads: LG Boss Assures Ayobo-Ipaja Residents

The chairman of Ayobo-Ipaja Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, South West  Nigeria, Prince Bisi Yusuf, has assured residents that succour will soon come to them as  regards the deplorable state of roads in the area.

Reacting to the outcry of people in the area, the council boss enlightened that the roads in  question belong to the state but revealed that his LCDA had commenced palliative measures  while awaiting the state government’s presence.

He told Lagos Bulletin yesterday that the state governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola had already  earmarked the Ayobo-Ipaja road for construction, stressing that work would commence there  after the completion of Mosalasi-Idimu road in Alimoso Local Government Area.

Yusuf disclosed that Ayobo-Ipaja LCDA on its part, is not resting on its oars as it has  embarked on palliative measure to make the road motorable from Ayetoro bridge to Abesan  Estate gate which is the boundary it shared with Mosan-Okunola council.

“We know what our people are going through and we are going through them together, but my  ever performing governor has assured us of the construction of Ayobo-Ipaja road soon after  the completion of Mosalasi-Idimu road.

“I use this medium to appeal to our people to persevere and be patient as we have commenced  palliative measures to reduce their suffering. We have commenced the filling and grading of  the road from Ayetoro boundary to Abesan Estate gate, even beyond our boundary,” Prince  Yusuf pleaded.
