The Councillor representing Magodo in the Ikorodu West Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, Nigeria, Hon. Idowu Aro Felix was this morning shot dead by suspected hired assassins in his home in Ikorodu.
The deceased councillor, who also served as the leader of the House in the legislative council, was said to have gone outside of his house to check on his generating set which went off. On getting outside, he was shot dead by the assassins who were hiding in a corner.
The Secretary to the Local Government, SLG, Hon. Onibogun said he was shocked at the incident as the deceased was with him at his office yesterday.
His corpse has been removed and deposited at the Ikorodu General Hospital.
No arrest has been made concerning the incident.
The late Idowu was 36 years old, married and had two children.
