As Muslims all over the world celebrate the end of Ramadan fasting, the vice president of  the O’odua People’s Congress, OPC, Otunba Kazeem Badmus, has enjoined all Muslims and  Nigerians in general to continue to be peaceful, law-abiding and show love to one another by  being their brothers keeper.

Speaking with P.M.NEWS from Saudi Arabia, where he had gone to perform the lesser Hadjj  (Humrah), he said the importance of fasting is to subdue our spirits and make us more  spiritual, clean and be one with God, and that after the fasting period, it will be a  greater sin to go back to all the vices which everyone had shunned during the holy month of  Ramadan.

He also appealed to  members of the OPC  to always maintain peace and not to allow anyone to  use them as thugs, especially now that the political terrain is heating up.

“I want to appeal to all OPC members to remain peaceful, especially as the general election  is approaching and I am issuing a stern warning that anyone caught flaunting this order will  be dealt with according to the law,” he stated.
