The legislator representing Ikorodu Constituency 1, Hon. S.O.B. Agunbiade, has again presented utility items to party executives and members of the Action Congress of Nigeria, ACN, in Ikorodu North and Ikorodu West Local Council Development Areas of Lagos State, Nigeria.
Speaking at the presentation of the items which included sewing machines, hair dryers and clippers, bags of rice, generators, industrial fans, clothes as well as handsets and customised recharge cards, including table and chair for phone operators, Agunbiade stated that the project is in continuation of his courtesy and working visit to his constituencies to account for his stewardship.
“I believe power belongs to the people and I am happy I was elected and I have come to show my appreciation. I have been able to touch 60 people in each of the local governments I visit and if you remember, I visited Ikorodu Central LG, last week and the same gesture you see here today was also extended to them,†he stated.
On his ambition to represent the people at the Lagos State House of Assembly again, the lawyer cum unionist stated that, “having done so well and having represented my people effectively in the present dispensation, I have the intention of coming back to represent my people because I know the more years you spend in the House, the more you mature and grow in experience. I have done it before and I did my best in delivering the dividends of democracy to the people. The numerous projects embarked upon are still there for the people to see I can do much better, but as a loyal party man, that decision is left for the party to take,â€Â he said.
