Players of Union Bank Table Tennis Club gave a good account of themselves as they outshined their colleagues from other clubs to emerge champions in the final of Sir Jonah Eze Table Tennis Championship held at Ikeja Club.

In the junior category, Samson Samuel of Summer Table Tennis Club humbled Jide Omotasho of Union Bank 4-3.
The championship featured players from Oyo, Ogun, Delta and Edo states.
Speaking on the club’s success, chief coach of Union Bank, Samson Ajayi said his players prepared very well for the tourney, hence their oustanding performances. While commending his players, the coach urged them to remain focused and determined saying the sky will be their limit in future competitions.
“It was a good outing for my players because they did not disappoint the management. They came to the championship with a lot of expectations and they really achieved their targets at the end of the day. This is to confirm that Union Bank Table Tennis Club is a force to reckon with not only in Nigeria but in Africa,†said Ajayi.
