People can access information on Surulere Local Government Area, Lagos State, South west Nigeria whenever they may be across the globe courtesy of their official website launched at the weekend.
The launching of the website along with the public presentation of the coucil’s magazine, Surulere Constituency Brief, attracted hundreds of people with and outside the council and Lagos State.
Speaking on the occasion, the chairman of the council, Dr. Rasak Folami explained that the council embarked on the projects because information is a mjaor key to economic and social development.
On the website, he said that the council is a metropolitican and there was the need to square up with the fast moving information technology age by construction of interactive the website “Surulere local government.org to engage the world†he explained.
On the magazine, Folami explained that it was an effort to promote citizens’ participation and mobile various stakeholders at the constituency level.
