Inhabitants of Akinsulire and Ayetoro streets as well as Victor Olaiya Avenue, among others in Aguda-Coker Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, South West Nigeria, has called on the authorities of Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN), to restore power supply to the area.
They lamented their plight, saying they have been thrown into total darkness for over three weeks and in spite of their complaints, nothing has been done.
According to one of the residents, a retired Army officer, the fault was said to have been from Akangba power station at Adelabu, which has been cleared and light restored at Adetola, Irone streets and Brown Road, among others, while leaving other streets in the area in total darkness.
The residents wondered why their streets should be left out and therefore appealed to PHCNÂ to do something fast to assuage the situation.
