A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos this afternoon annulled the elections into the board of Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, conducted on Thursday, 19 August, 2010 in Abuja.
In his ruling that lasted for 27 minutes, the presiding Judge, Okon Abang, said a suit filed against holding the elections was before the court, which issued an order that the elections should not be held until the case before the court was determined. The Judge held that the NFF was also served the court order to maintain the status quo, yet the FA went ahead to conduct the elections.
In view of this, Justice Abang declared the elections null and void. He also ordered the Inspector General of Police, Ogbonna Onovo to arrest Alhaji Aminu Maigari, the President of the NFF and other elected members parading themselves as official of the NFF.
In addition, he ordered the Federal Ministry of Youth & Sports to appoint most senior administrative officers of the NFF to run the affairs of the federation pending the time fresh elections will be conducted.

What is going on in this country self?but i thought onovo has already removed if so i think this new IG will take up the assignment,i knw that this so called NFF president maigari is also a corrupted man like his brother sanni lulu if not he suppose to conduct election for new board member not to re contest again stupid man!!!!!
The Judiciary should stop compounding our problems in this country. The IGP which the papers recently reported should be arrested for contempt by the JUDICIARY has been given orders (to the embattled IGP) to arrest the elected officials of the NFF for contempt. We are watching this macabre dance!
Onovo to arrest Maigari when onovo himself is wanted for contempt of court
