The traditional ruler of Opeki town in Mosan Okunola Local Council Development Area of Lagos State, southwest, Nigeria, Chief Buhari Abatan Adeleye has enjoined Muslim faithful to emulate prophet Muhammed who was the messenger of Allah.
Adeleye, in a Ramadan message, said every Muslim should endeavour to keep the good deeds and teachings of the exercise and show love to one another not only during Ramadan but everyday since love is the foundation of any relationship in life.
According to him, the purpose of bringing Muslims together is to inculcate in them what they were taught during Ramadan and ensure that they don’t deviate from them.
“I advise Muslims not to go back to bad hasbits because they realised the habits were bad and they stopped them during the month of Ramadan. Ramadan gives people the opportunity to stay away from sin and this should continue even after the exercise so that God can continue to listen to their prayers,” he added.
He urged Muslim brethren to use the remaining few days to continue to pray for the Governor Fashola-led administration in the state and re-commit themselves to Allah, prioritise religious and moral matters and humbly identify themselves with the less privileged.
