Players of Nigeria’s Super Eagles have declared that they learnt a bitter lesson with their  early ouster from the South Africa 2010 FIFA World Cup.

The players now resolved that they needed to redeem their image, which they did with the 2-0  victory over Madagascar in the Nations Cup qualifier in Calabar yesterday.

Captain of the side, Joseph Yobo told P.M.Sports after yesterday’s match that “our dismal  performance at the World Cup taught us a big lesson and we must play to redeem Nigeria’s  image. We have started this by defeating Madagascar.”
