The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, has announced that it will advertise the position for coach of the Super Eagles and make an appointment on 1 October.
Earlier, the NFF had been discussing with former Olympic team coach, Samson Siasia, but  the executive committee member ,Chris Greene, told reporters after a meeting yesterday that the board had resolved to advertise the position.
Siasia’s negotiations with the former board was deadlocked on his personal terms, which included a $100, 000 monthly wage and $1m sign-on fee.
Former Chairman of the NFF Technical Committee, Dominic Iorfa revealed before the FA election that an agreement had been reached in principle for a monthly wagesof $60 000, and no sign-on fee, subject to board approval. The current development will now allow the likes of stand-in coach Austin Eguavoen, former captain Stephen Keshi and other interested coaches to throw their hats in the ring.
