The police at Ilemba Hausa Division have arrested three suspected armed robbers at Bony bus stop in Lagos, Nigeria following a tip off from members of the public.
The suspects, Kingsley Nnamani, Ikechukwu Philips and Ejike Igwe were seen around Ilemba bus stop and their movement, according to a Crime Watch source, was suspicious which made the people in the area inform police at Ilemba Hausa Division.
The Divisional Police Officer in charge was said to have moblised his anti-robbery team to the scene and promptly arrested the suspects.
Crime Watch gathered that when the police searched them, one revolver and three rounds of live ammunition were recovered from them. The suspects were said to have confessed that they were robbers.
They have been transferred to the State Criminal Investigations Department (SCID), Panti, Yaba for further investigation.
The Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mr. Frank Mba, a superintendent of police, commended the public for being vigilant and to always report suspicious movement in their area to the police.
