For allegedly breaking into a co-tenant’s apartment, Mr. Lateef Salau,  24, resident of 28,  Adebi Street, Off Olulu Makoko, Lagos, Nigeria has been arraigned before the Sabo Magistrate’s  court on a three-count charge to commit felony to wit breaking and entry.

P.M.NEWS gathered that the suspect committed the crime after accusing his co-tenant, one  Christian Otubo of giving his 3-year old son a charmed N20 note to harm him.

But Christian Otubo denied that he gave  money to his son, claiming that the accused broke into  his apartment, stole his electronics gadgets, money and escaped. He was arrested at a hideout  and charged to court.

Count 2 read: “you Lateef Salau on the date, time and place in the aforementioned magisterial  district did steal one Samsung television set valued N4,500, one Yamaha generator set value  N15,000 and cash sum of N52,000 total N71,500, property of Christian Otubo.”

The accused pleaded not guilty to the charge and the magistrate granted him bail in the sum of  N50,000 and adjourned the matter till 13 September, 2010 for mention.
