Residents of Ibafon town in Ajeromi-Ifelodun Local Government Area of Lagos State, South West Nigeria, have expressed displeasure over the bad shape of Ibafon road.
Speaking on behalf of the residents, the traditional ruler of the town, High Chief Kayode Okunola, stated that the most urgently needed infrastructure that will ensure speedy development of his community is the construction of the road linking other major roads in the area.
Okunola appealed to the state government to assist the local council administration led by Mr. Bayewu Kamal Ayinde, to construct the road, whose situation is worse any time it rains and making coming in and going out of the community to be an uphill task.
He commended the Governor Babatunde Fashola-led administration in the state for the rapid transformation of the metropolis through its laudable projects.
According to the traditional ruler, Fashola stands out among his counterparts in the area of good governance,†adding that Lagos residents should be grateful to God for the governor’s giant strides since he assumed office.
He, however, lamented lack of drainage, mini health centre, community hall, potable water and electricity supply caused by non availability of transformer, among other things in the community, while also urging his subjects to continue to complement government’s efforts by paying their tax promptly at all times.
