Non-Alliance Group, a socio-political group, has called for the re-election of Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola of Lagos State and the chairman of Apapa-Iganmu Local Council Development Area of the state, Dr. Adesola Samuel Adedayo, for their excellent performance.
In a chat with P.M.NEWS, the group stated that both the state and LCDA have witnessed rapid development since the governor and the council chairman assumed office.
Alhaji Ibrahim Oladimeji, chairman of the group, stated that although the political group is new, it was established to campaign for the re-election of the governor and the Apapa/Iganmu LCDA chairman because the group was satisfied with their performance.
‘‘We believe that the only way that we can reciprocate their gesture towards the residents of the state, is to campaign for their re-election, so that they can extend the dividends of democracy to other parts of the state and the local government,†he explained.
Highlighting the council chairman’s achievement, Oladimeji stated that he has been able to transform the council area by providing jobs for the teeming youths, constructing and rehabilitating many roads and drainage channels.
The group also commend him for reactivating street lights, empowerment of women, paying for students’ GCE and JAMB forms as well as free coaching classes for candidates preparing these examinations.
