The legislator representing Ikorodu Constituency 1 in the Lagos State House of Assembly and Chairman, House Committee on Commerce and Industry, Hon. Sanai Oyeniran Agunbiade, has announced the birth of his pet-project,Onward Movement.
The NGO, he said, is designed to challenge every individual to rediscover self and take practical steps towards personal advancement and accomplishment.
According to Hon. Agunbiade, “the movement is out to reawaken values and preach the gospel that with faith in God, hard work, courage, selflessness and determination, any man can attain whatever level he desires in life, even though life is not a bed of roses.
“Our approach shall be through social evangelism, by way of lectures, seminars, symposia, career/inspirational talks and conferences for members, both in foreign and local languages because we are convinced that a great society is a product of great individuals with great thinking, hence the need.
“For this social re-engineering and re-awakening of consciousness for positive thinking and qualitative values and among the questions we shall help people provide answers to are: where are your talents and what is happening to your potential and is your present status the best you can accomplish in life, among many others,†Agunbiade revealed.
