Butchers New Exco Takes Over

A new executive council of the Lagos State Butchers Association has been inaugurated.

The new executives emerged after an election following the 11 May, 2010 order of the Federal High Court, Ikoyi, Lagos dissolving the former executive council of the association and the constitution of a 10-man committee to conduct a fresh election within 14 days.

P.M.NEWS gathered that the former executives were sacked by members of the association because of mismanagement.

The new executives are Mr. Rafiu Adisa Elewide, Chairman; Mr. Francis Sola Adetele, deputy chairman; Mr. Sakiru Tunde Aderibigbe, Secretary General; Alhaja Amudalat Ojikutu, Treasurer; Mr. Ganiyu Mudasiru Adesiyan, Financial Secretary; Mallam Yaro Musa, Publicity Secretary; Mr. Mukaila Ajani Bada, Organising Secretary; Mr. Taiwo Alabi Oseni, Welfare Secretary; Mr. Isiaka Alao, Social Secretary; Mr. Babatunde Alabi Okanlawon, Chief Whip and Dorcas Oseni, Legal Adviser.

In his speech at the occasion, Elewide described the moment as a new era for the association in Lagos State.

He disclosed that the association’s secretariat has been moved from 3, Ogunmokun Street, Mushin to 303, Old Abeokuta Road, Opposite Sunshine Estate, Oko-Oba, Agege, Lagos.
