The Saraki Adini of Ilemba Hausa Central Mosque and Jagunmolu of Ajangbadi in Ojo Local Government Area of Lagos State, Alhaji Adewoye Adeyemi, has commended Muslim leaders in the country for commencing this year’s Ramadan fasting same day.
Adewoye made the commendation during a Ramadan lecture at the Central Mosque and described the development as a step in the right direction.
According to him, the joint commencement of the exercise showed the determination by the leaders of Islam to unite, adding that they are now speaking with one voice.
He noted that the month of Ramadan is a remarkable one when everyone comes together to serve God in unity and love, urging that this should continue after the yearly exercise.
“Let us endeavour to be good Muslims and do whatever we do now beyond Ramadan,†he advised.
