The Lagos State Elders Forum of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, has applauded the unanimous decision of the National Industrial Court on the nullification of the Caretaker Committee of the Oyo State NURTW, saying it is a clear demonstration of the entrenchment of rule of law and supremacy of the union’s constitution.
According to the Publicity Secretary of the forum, Mr. Dayo Olufemi, “this decision has shown that the affairs of the NURTW can no longer be left without adherence to due process and the rule of law and we want to congratulate Alhaji Lateef Akinsola (a.k.a Tokyo) and the entire Oyo State council of NURTW on this historic victory, which is also a plus for the entire NURTW.
“We also want to strongly advice the National Administrative Council, NAC, to rectify all wrongs in the Lagos State NURTW before the National Industrial Court delivers its judgement, which we are sure will once again, uphold the supremacy of the rule of law,†he added.
